       	OSM AWARDS VIRGINIA $3,383,539 TO

	ASSIST IN REGULATING SURFACE EFFECTS OF COAL MINING 

The Interior Department's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) has awarded Virginia a $3,383,539 grant to help the State regulate the surface effects of coal mining.  
The grant assists in paying half of Arkansas' inspection and enforcement costs, including equipment, supplies and transportation.
