                OSM AWARDS WYOMING $1,494,863 TO ASSIST
              IN REGULATING SURFACE EFFECTS OF COAL MINING
                                    
The Interior Department s Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and
Enforcement (OSM) has awarded Wyoming a $1,494,863 grant to help the state
regulate the surface effects of coal mining.
The grant will assist in paying Wyoming s inspection and enforcement costs,
including equipment, supplies, and transportation.
