U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Surface Mining Fact Sheet June 19, 2002 OSM AWARDS ILLINOIS $2,773,954 TO ASSIST IN REGULATING SURFACE EFFECTS OF COAL MINING The Interior Department's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) is providing Illinois a $2,773,954 grant to help the state regulate the surface effects of coal mining.
