   OSM AWARDS MARYLAND $538,519

           TO REGULATE SURFACE EFFECTS OF COAL MINING
                                
                                
    The Interior Department's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) is
providing Maryland $538,519 to assist the state in regulating the surface effects of coal mining.
    The grant will assist in funding Maryland's inspection and enforcement costs, including equipment,
supplies, and transportation.
