No boring lectures with this course! It was created to foster the connection, commitment, and relevance of leadership to the purpose and mission of the Department.
This introductory course provides a knowledge framework for students to learn more in-depth information about the grant process, setting the stage for specialization in any aspect of the process.
This is a one week resident classroom course which follows successful completion of the online FPM 120A and FPM 120B entry-level fundamentals courses. FPM 121 places the project management learner in an integrated product team (IPT) setting, allowing students to gain hands-on experience working through problem-based exercises based on the concepts learned in the prerequisite FPM 120 online course.
This 60-minute session on transgender sensitivity will begin with a discussion of key language and vocabulary to make sure everyone has the tools to be a part of the conversation. After setting the stage for why employees may not feel comfortable coming out at work and why proactive support is crucial from leaders, we will talk through strategies that are specific to managers and supervisors on how to build inclusive teams, how to handle an employee transition, and how to ensure that everyone feels seen as they are.
