Course Description:  This course is designed for accountants/budget analysts who desire insight into federal budgeting and accounting.  This course will provide a basic understanding of federal budgeting and accounting with insight into new financial systems.

Course Objective:

Target Audience:

Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs) seeking FAC-COR Level II
Description: Gain the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Gain an understanding of standards of conduct and ethics, development of requirements documents, contract documentation, inspection procedures, changes, terminations, and disputes.

Summary and Objectives: This two-day, elective course explores the major phases and timing of the federal budget process; principal participants and their roles; current issues affecting congressional actions; and how the budget is reviewed and audited. Each offering includes agency-specific budget processes and information.
